Thomas Jefferson vs. Aaron Burr?

To my understanding, Jefferson and Burr, although supposed to be running together in the election of 1800, ended up being pit against each other after receiving the same amount of electoral votes. In the end, Jefferson prevailed, and Burr became vice-president. But what happened after in their relationship? Did Burr hold a grudge? How did he react? Did this put a wedge between Jefferson and him?
