Why Do So Many Think Revolution Now Is Treason When The Declaration Of Independence Says Otherwise?

The Declaration of Independence clearly states the right of the people to alter or abolish their government when it becomes corrupt and oppressive.The author and signers along with a million other people proceeded to do just that in a most violent way.So why do so many denounce revolution as treason?It doesn't even fit the Constitution's definition of treason as aid and comfort to foreign enemies.Why not kick in the door to our corrupt federal government and watch the whole rotten structure collapse?
