What's your thoughts on my new poem? Please read. =]?

Very touching, but I feel something lacking in the poetic sense. Perhaps it is a bit to literal, like a newspaper report. A poem perhaps needs to be less overt and more symbolic in a sense. But that's just my opionion. I must admit it touched me, though, and conjured up pictures as a poem should.
