I want more affection!!!!!!?

ive been with my boyfriend for 10 months now and i feel we're at the best our relationship has been as it takes me ahile to let my guard down and let people in, only thing is i wish he was a bit more affectionate sometimes, im quite shy myself so its not like i am either but i would like to feel as if he cant keep his hands off me and that he always wants to be touching, i get jealous when i see really lovey-dovey couples like that, we do cuddle and snuggle etc but i dunno, if your boyfriend was deeply in love with you wouldnt this be something he would do?
