What is the current average ship time from DEP program, for Air Force.?

It all depends on your AFSC. They ship you to basic so that when basic ends you go straight to Tech. There has to be a slot open at tech School first BEFORE you ship to basic. So, yes, depending on the AFSC, you could be waiting up to 12 months. If you really, really don't care what job you get, you can go Open General and they will ship you out for the first available job you qualify for. I do not recommend you do that. You could get stuck with a job you HATE for the next 4-6 years.
